CREATIVE WRITER
When I first made the decision to launch my memoir, *Born Again in America: A Nation Where Dreams Come True*, Amazon.com: Born Again in America: A Nation Where Dreams Still Come True eBook : carballo, mory: Kindle Store
I found myself grappling with my identity as a writer. The thought of labeling myself as a writer felt daunting. I believed that to truly earn that title, I needed to possess multiple degrees or some form of specialized knowledge that seemed nearly unattainable. Compounding this doubt was the fact that English is not my first language. I moved to the United States at the age of 27, driven by a desire for new opportunities and experiences. To adapt, I enrolled in community college, immersing myself in my studies and adapting to a new culture.
Despite the difficulties I faced with the English language—its intricacies and complexities—I discovered a profound love for words and expression. I began to experiment with my writing, creating a variety of pieces, including short stories such as *Little Dreamer*
Little Dreamer: Carballo, Mory: 9798322497509: Amazon.com: Books
and a collection of poems written in Spanish. Para Ti Madre Querida (Spanish Edition): Carballo, Mory: Amazon.com: Books
Through this creative journey, I came to a significant realization: I was not just a writer; I was a creative writer.
This understanding blossomed each time I encountered feelings of loneliness or emotional pain. In those sorrowful moments when my spirit felt dim, writing became my refuge. It was as if the act of writing had a transformative power over my emotions. I would begin to write about anything that came to mind, or my fingers would instinctively dance across the keyboard, releasing my thoughts into the digital realm. In those precious moments, I found that my spirit could slow down, allowing me to process my feelings.
The pain, isolation, and loneliness slowly faded as I entered a realm of discovery—a world where words, ideas, and emotions intertwined, creating a tapestry of experiences and insights that brought me solace and understanding.
..Life is a Magical Ride.
